William Leroy "Bill" Spinner, the son of the late Henry and Georgie Spinner was born June 26, 1935 in Augusta County. He departed this life on October 24, 2013 in Avante at Lynchburg. William, affectionately known as "Bill" was married to Helen Regina Spinner and to that union they were blessed with one son, William Lewis Spinner. Bill joined Sharon Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and became a member of the SMBC Chorus and Men's Choir. He was also a member of the Deacon's Ministry. He was employed for 37 years at Burlington Industries in Glasgow, VA. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #316. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Helen Regina Spinner of the home, son, William Lewis Spinner of Bedford, VA, two grandsons, Cordell Rosser and Jonathan Langhorne, one great grandson, Keyshawn Rosser, one brother, Charles N. Spinner (Rose) of MD, one sister, Irene Small of PA, two stepsisters, Lucille Ware and Vera Browne (Kaj') both of NY, sisters-in-law, Thelma Rhodes (Clifton) of Huddleston, VA, Betty Goode and Maxine Goode both of Bedford, VA, brothers-in-law, Elmer Goode (Maxine) of Charlotte, NC, Carl Goode (Dorothy) of Bedford, VA, special cousin, John Lightfoot and his wife, Thelma, and a host of nieces, nephews,other relatives and friends.
