Mr. Wilfred Stanley Thompson, age 66 of Bedford, answered God's call to Glory on Thursday, June 10, 2021. Stanley, affectionately known as "Stan the Man", was born to the late Harry Herbert and Ethel Fuqua Thompson on May 9, 1955.

Those left to cherish his memory are: two sons, Scottie L. Sharpe and Curtis W. Coles both of Lynchburg, VA; two daughters, Shannon L. Thompson of Lynchburg, VA and Ebony L. Busby (Brandon) of Bedford, VA; eleven grandchildren; one brother, Harry S. Thompson of Bedford, VA; three sisters, Margurite F. Booker of Lynchburg VA, Valerie T. Pullen of Charlotte NC and Vanessa T. Wright (Sam) of Bedford VA; one aunt, Ophelia T. Banks of Forest, VA; one uncle, John Fuqua (Phyllis) of Lynchburg, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends who were dear to him.
