Valerie Kaye
Spinner
Feb 28, 1962 — Nov 1, 2025
Bedford
On Saturday morning, November 1st, 2025, the Lord in His infinite wisdom called Valerie Kaye Spinner to her eternal rest, welcoming her into His heavenly embrace. Born on February 28, 1962, the second child born to the late Jimmy V Spinner and Geraldine Brown Spinner of Goode, VA, Valerie was blessed with a loving family and a heart devoted to God. From an early age, she joined the Otterville Baptist Church, where her faith blossomed and her love for the Lord shone brightly. She joyfully sang in the choir, served in the Ushers ministry, and led the Women's Day program, always seeking to glorify God through her service and planning.
Known affectionately to her niece Tatiyanna as Aunt Meme or Teddy, Valerie walked a path guided by faith and purpose. After graduating from Jefferson Forest High School, she pursued higher learning at National Business College in Roanoke, VA, earning a degree in Computer Science. Her career as an educator within the Bedford County School system enabled her to positively impact numerous individuals, and she subsequently continued her professional journey at Wal Mart in Bedford.
To honor and cherish her memory, Valerie leaves behind her devoted mother, Geraldine B. Spinner of Goode, VA, and her beloved son, James C. Spinner of Bedford, VA. Four loving sisters also survive her; Kathy S. Burdette (Curtis) of Moneta, VA, Debora Spinner of Atlanta, GA, Sherry Spinner, and Stephanie Spinner of Goode, VA; one brother, William Lee Spinner (Mary) of Goode, VA.
