Thomas Ruben Turner, Jr.'s Obituary
Thomas R. Turner, Jr., age 56, of Bedford, passed away Friday, November 18, 2016 at his home. Affectionately known as "Rabbit", Thomas was born on July 18, 1960 to the late Thomas R. Turner, Sr. and Lois Nelms Turner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Thomas joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age. He was a jack of all trades; doing all kinds of jobs for family and friends. He worked at several places throughout his working career.
Thomas leaves cherish his memory his lovely wife, Mary Lou Jones Turner of the home; one son, Wayne Burgess and wife Erica; three stepdaughters, Christina, Mary and Rachel all of Roanoke, VA; fifteen grandchildren; one brother, Anthony Turner; four sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law; other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 2pm in the Bedford Funeral Home Chapel.
