Mr. Thomas Lee Leftwich, Sr., age 80, of Bedford departed this life on January 1, 2020. He was born on June 26, 1939 to the late Joseph and Mary Leftwich. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Georgia Goode Leftwich; daughter, Brenda Leftwich; two brothers, James Lewis Leftwich and Joseph Leftwich; one sister, Dorothy Mae Staples; two stepdaughters, Barbara Cotton and Janice Goode and stepson, Michael Goode.

Thomas was educated in the Bedford County School System. He retired after many years of service from Golden West Foods (McCormick.)

He leaves to mourn his passing two children, Thomas "Tommy" Leftwich, Jr. and Shelia Leftwich; two stepchildren, Perry Goode and Carolyn Charleston; two devoted grandchildren, Brandy Leftwich and Brian Nellum; devoted nephew, Calvin Leftwich; devoted niece, Phoebe Hayden; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

"He knew that you were suffering; He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never get well on Earth again.
He saw that the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb,
So he closed your weary eyelids, and whispered "Peace be thine."
