Tenie Miller Crider, age 91, quietly entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at approximately 8:00 p.m. after a bout with pneumonia. She was born November 10, 1921 to the late Jim and Eula Miller of Campbell County, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ellis Crider, a son, Lawrence Crider, a grandson, William Crider; three brothers, James, Robert, and Arthur, a sister Verna, and uncle Thomas Miller. Teenie worked most of her life working for the Stephenson family - cherishing the parents, children and grandchildren. She loved to bake rolls, cakes and pies and was very good at it. She baked many years for Mrs. Betty Goode at Goode's Catering in Bedford. She was a faithful member of Pilot Mountain Baptist Church and attended Washington St. Baptist Church. She leaves to mourn her memories, three sons, William (Linda) Crider of Lynchburg, VA, Charles (Joyce) Crider of Concord, VA, and James (Patricia) Crider of Washington, D.C., daughter-in-law, Carolyn Crider of Bedford, VA, a host of grandchildren including a devoted granddaughter, Michelle Crider, one brother, Harry Miller of Lynchburg, VA, devoted niece, Viola Morris of Rustburg, VA, and a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. The family extends a special thank you to Bedford Hospice for many hours of service.
