Shirley Mae Turner Davis, age 70 of Chatham, departed this life on Friday, January 25, 2020 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born on November 27, 1949 to the late Samuel Floyd Foxx and Lena Price Foxx.

Shirley was a faithful and dedicated member of Mt. Plain Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board and on the Hospitality Committee. She was educated in the Bedford County School system, where she attended Susie G. Gibson High School.

Those left to cherish her memory include: her husband, Deroy Davis; one daughter, Teresa Turner Clark (Grayland); one son, Wayne Terrell Turner both of Huddleston; one brother, William C. Foxx (Regina) of Gretna; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, four sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, five step-children, ten step-grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
