Savannah Beatrice White Harris went to sleep on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in the Bedford County Nursing Home after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born the only child to the late Flossie and Harry White on April 2, 1931. She was united in marriage to Robert E. Harris, Sr. on September 17, 1948 and to this union four children were born. She dedicated her life to her Heavenly Father and symbolized it on January 25, 1953 by water baptism. She willingly devoted her time sharing with others the good news of God's Kingdom and the hope of living in paradise. She was preceded in death by two of her grandchildren, Michael Douglas Harris and Jennifer Lynn Harris. She is survived by four children, Robert E. Harris, Jr., Jerry G. (Lennis) Harris, Sr., Carol H. (William) Davis, and Pamela H. (Julius) Sutton, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family and friends. We would like to thank the staff at Bedford County Nursing Home and Oakwood Manor for the excellent care that was given to our mother during her illness.
