Ms. Sarah L. Whitten, age 62 of Bedford was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 13, 2026. She was born on June 18, 1963 to the late George and Frances Whitten. She was preceded in death by her sister Martha and brother-in-law Burton "Gene" Clark; stepmother Racheal Whitten and two special friends Gracie and Phyliss Bryant.

Sarah leaves behind her daughter Brittany (ShaQuon) Battle four grandchildren A'Sunti, Jayceon, Sencere and Keaton Battle; one sister Kim Whitten; four brothers George (CJ), Tyrone, Chad and John Whitten; two nieces Shemicka (Bobby) Payne and Natasha Clark (Michael). Along with a host of nieces, nephews, and very close friends that she talked on the phone with daily, we will miss that call.
