Ms. Sandra Jean Jennings was called to rest on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, after battling health issues for many years. She was born on December 21, 1958 to the late Joe L. Jennings and Helen Marie Jennings. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Jennings and Charles Mills; grandson, Kayden Lee Jennings; and the love of her life, Curtis Lee Eggleston "Curty-Boo."

Sandra was known by many names: Momma, Grandma, Auntie, "Jeano" and Friend. She was loved by everyone that knew her and she'll be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children Curtis L. Jennings of Roanoke, VA and Christy R. Jennings of Moneta, VA; brothers Ralph Jennings and Grayland Jennings of Bedford, VA; grandchildren: Kiasia Hicks, Zackery Bowyer, Misty Jennings, Devonte Jennings and Keilyn Jennings; great granddaughter: Luna Bowyer; special nieces: Elisa Hudson and Kiesha Gilmore; nephews Eric Jennings and Jack Jennings Jr.; goddaughter, April Martin; lifelong nieces and nephews: Jennifer Martin, Sandra Eggleston, Phyllis Eggleston, Michelle Eggleston, Cathy Eggleston, Bobby Eggleston and Michael Eggleston; devoted friends: James Johnson, Raymond Bryant, Debra English and Littie English.

We watched you slowly fade away.

We tried so hard to make you stay.

And God was watching from above,

and took you home to share his love.
