Rudolph Herman Johnson was born on May 22, 1937, in Bedford, VA, to the late Fletcher, Johnson, Sr., and Katherine Toler Johnson. He was also preceded in death by his son, Rudolph Altonio Johnson "Tony Curtis", and two brothers and four sisters.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his devoted wife of fifty-five years, Bessie Kasey Johnso. His children: Sean Johnson, Barry Johnson and Cathy Johnson, all of Bedford, VA; a granddaughter, Anastazia Johnson, of Richmond, VA; a great-granddaughter, Ne'veha; a great-grandson, Mi'Niexe; a step-granddaughter, Ameshia Harper, of Roanoke, VA. He also leaves two sisters, Betty Jean Parker and Julia Kasey, both of Bedford, VA; and two sisters-in-law, Eva Kasey and Mary Skinner, both of Bedford, VA; along with a host of cherished nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.
