Ruby E. Thomas, age 77, of Bedford, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016. She was born on October 26, 1938 to the late Glover Stonewall Thomas and Pauline Calloway Thomas. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her loving sister, Edith Louise Poindexter.

She is survived by her daughter, Paulette Thomas of Bedford; one grandson, Treyvon Shemar Thomas of Bedford; one sister, Inez Hairston (James) of Suffolk,VA; a brother, William Thomas (Evelyn) of Bedford; a brother-in-law, Choice Daniel Poindexter of Bedford; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, October 13, 2016 in the Bedford Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Old Bold Branch Cemetery. Friends may view on Thursday from 8:00am until the time of the service.
