Reflections of A Purpose Driven Life
The trumpet audaciously sounded on Saturday Evening, October 1, 2022, at 11:44 p.m.; at his residence; and Elder Ronald J. Rose made his peaceful transition from earth into the Eve of Eternity. Elder Rose was born on February 5, 1942, in Goode, Va; a son of the late Dandridge Rose and Signora Dyke Rose. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John D. Rose and Thomas R. Rose.
Elder Rose was a graduate of Susie Gibson High School in Bedford, Va. After graduation, he served in the United States Army. While serving in the army in South Korea, he met his loving wife Song Chi Kim. He was later employed at Rubatex Corporation in Bedford, Va; after many years of service, he retired. Elder Rose enjoyed spending time with Kim and reading the newspaper or bible on his back porch.
Elder Rose grew up in an era where he was taught that love, faith, peace, and tenacity are the characteristics of a Successful Spirit-Filled Life! He was called to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Elder Rose did not just speak idle words; he was ultimately motivated by the word of God as the basis of his ministry. His words of faith, repentance, and salvation were instrumental in leading many to their acceptance of His Mission to the Body of Christ. Elder Rose was determined as the scripture is written in Matthew 5:16; "Let your light shine before all people, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven." In his quest, Elder Ronald Rose approached his mission to the Gospel, as the greatest work on earth he would Accomplish, Striving and Suffering for Christ! Elder Rose started his early years in the ministry at Universal Outreach in Bedford, Va; and has been Associate Pastor at New Life Gospel Assembly in Lynchburg, Va for many years. Some men are born into fortune and fame. Some men are distinguished for their characteristics and name. Elder Ronald Rose was a Great Man; He was a vital part of God's Great Plan. Elder Rose never requested very much. He lived to do the will of his Father in Heaven and to feel his special touch.
Elder Ronald Rose leaves to celebrate his life and honor His Memory: his beautiful wife and soulmate, Song Chi Kim Rose; his twin sister, Roberta Rose Cox, and husband, James M. Cox, IV of Riverdale, MD; his goddaughter, Sueginh Atkins; his nieces, Nicole Cox Wade and her husband Larry, and their son, Landon; and niece Sherrell Lynne Rose and her children Paul Rose, Channelle Mason and Carlos Mason; his nephews James M. Cox, V, and Mark Minnis; a cousin, Gaynell Dyke Ferris, who was like a sister to Elder Rose and Sister Kim, and has always been there when she was needed; a cousin, Charles Dyke, who was also like a brother to him; his last surviving cousin Gloria Wheeler Fox on the Rose side, cousins, friends. and his church family at New Life Gospel Assembly.
