On January 17, 2024, God called home our beloved Husband, Dad, and "Loving Papa", Robert D. Jackson. Mr. Jackson departed this life at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 9, 1933 to the late Robert P. Jackson and Nannye V. Jackson Johnson. He was the stepson of the late Thomas E. Johnson.

Robert also known as "Bobby", was a faithful member of Washington Street Baptist Church in Bedford, VA. He was a member of the Gospel Chorus and served many years as Business Manager for the church.

Bobby served twenty years in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1972. He then went to work at the United States Postal Service in Roanoke, VA. He retired after many years of service.

Leaving to cherish his loving memories are his loving and devoted wife, June S. Jackson; a loving and caring daughter, Kim Jackson; his god sister, Eleanor (Robert) Kasey of North Carolina; two devoted god children, Monica (Blake) Winfree of Chicago, IL and Daryl Robertson of Roanoke, VA; two faithful friends, Mr. Charles Parker and Mr. Randy Barlow; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He will be greatly missed!
