Richard "Dick" Robertson, age 84, of Bedford, VA slipped into eternal rest on June 20, 2016 at The University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born on April 19, 1932 to the late Henry and Madge Robertson. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by four sisters, Patsy Robertson, Martha Murphy, Lois Eggleston and Mary English; and five brothers, John, Frank, Melvin, Albert and Alfred Robertson.

He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church, Bedford, VA. He worked for FL Showalter until his retirement.

"Dick" leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Mary Ann Robertson; two daughters, Diane Thompson of Lynchburg, VA and Tamika Robertson of Goode, VA; three grandchildren, Latrice Thompson of Washington, D.C., Tonia (Eric) Hankins of Fort Worth, TX. and Kanye Scott of Goode, VA; four sisters, Rosa (Robert) Carson, Myrtle Leftwich, Polly (Oscar) Johnson and Bernice Blake all of Bedford, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.


Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 2pm at Antioch Baptist Church, Bedford, VA. Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 24, 2016 from 6-8pm in the Bedford Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements by Bedford Funeral Home.
