Raymond Douglas Nelms, Sr.'s Obituary
Raymond D. Nelms, Sr., age 78, of Bedford, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018. He was the son of the late Deacon Paul and Lottie Robertson Nelms.
Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of thirty-four years, Inez Miller-Nelms; sons, Ronnie (Sylvia) Nelms and Terry (Shane) Nelms; one daughter, Alice Marie (Willie) Leftwich; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, two sisters, Willie Bell Ray and Rosie (Rufus) Brown; two aunts, Mrs. Elizabeth Nelms and Mrs. Dorothy Nelms; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 11:00am at New Zion Baptist Church, 3725 Shingle Block Rd. Bedford, VA. Interment will follow in Fairmont Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Friends may view on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 1-7pm in the Bedford Funeral Home Chapel.
