Phillip Bran Thomas, age 48, of Bedford departed this life on January 31, 2014. He was the fourth child born to the late Phillip B. Thomas and Minister Hazel Thomas on May 25, 1965. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Washington St. Baptist Church. Phillip was a kindhearted person who was always willing to help and always full of fun and mischief. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother Minister Hazel Thomas; four sisters, Elder Yolanda Thomas, Phyllis Walker, Sylvia Wilcox, and Nicole Wright (Garland); seven aunts, Inez Nelms (Raymond), Janet Spinner, Sandra Smittin Young (Andrew), Opal Hawkins (Phil), Mary Thomas, Sharon Thomas, and Phyllis Carson; six uncles, Lester Miller (Joyce) Charles Thomas, Craig Thomas, Victor Thomas, Terry Thomas, and Melvin Claytor (Demetria); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Phillip was blessed to have some great lifelong friends in the person of Billy Black, Frank Padgett, Bobby Padgett, Chris Jones, Mike Edwards, Sam Hiner, James Kesler, Commander James and Carl Evans. He also had a special companion, Michelle Wells. He will be greatly missed by all.
