MRS. NANNIE TINSLEY PARKER, 105 years young, of 2771 Timber Ridge Road, Bedford, VA, passed away peacefully at her home on September 21, 2012. She was born in Bedford County on January 9, 1907 to the late Mary Liza Tinsley. In addition to her mother, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Parker, and sons, James Odell, Robert Lee, and William Staples. She received Christ at an early age, was baptized and became a member of the Otterville Baptist Church, Bedford, VA. After her marriage, she united with the Western Light Baptist Church, Bedford, VA and was a faithful and devoted member for many, many years. She is survived by her children, Mary Virginia, Van Lewis (Brenda), Martin Gabriel, John Reid (Brenda) and Veronica Lorraine; special loving and compassionate granddaughters, Karen P. Spinner, Lindore L. Harper, and Elizabeth B. Parker; her newly adopted daughter who loved and cared for her, Annette R. Spinner; and a host of grandchildren, relatives and friends, too numerous to name.
