Obituary

Nathaniel Wright, Jr. departed this life Sunday, November 30, 2014, at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. He was born on January 10, 1941 to Nathaniel Wright, Sr., who precedes him in death, and Otelia P. Wright. Known to many as "Nat", he joined the Lovely Zion Baptist Church at an early age. He attended schools in Bedford County. Upon graduation, he entered the Military and served his country for six years. Nat loved life, his family and friends, and had a passion for working on cars. Back in his heyday, he loved driving his cars really fast. He had some special friends that enjoyed the same, and he kept them close in his heart. Nat's mother was his "First Lady" and he never missed her birthday or Mother's Day, no matter how he was feeling. His vacations were centered around "MOM". He had a special soft spot for his son, Nolan and grandbaby, Carrington. They always made him shine. He leaves to celebrate his life his mother, Otelia P. Wright, his wife, Mildred Wright; children, Bryan "Nolan" Wright and wife, Ebonni, Adrienne Marie Wright, Delois Wright, Wanda Gail Jones and husband Tony, Avery Donnell Wright and wife, Gaby; eight grandchildren, Carrington, Camryn, Xavier, Damario, Novelle, Brittany, Sharneise, and Mashanda; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Samuel and Irving Wright; one sister, Bertha Lowry; brother-in-law, Fred Rogers, Jr., two sisters-in-law, Mary Rogers and Vanessa Wright; a very special cousin, Riley Wright; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a special group of friends and co-workers whom he adored.
