Michael Wayne Leftwich, age 29, of Bedford Virginia went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 19, 2016; unexpectedly by his family, but on time by God. He was born on March 31, 1987 in Bedford to Jane Leftwich and Michael Brown.  He graduated from Liberty High School in 2005.

Michael loved coaching and watching sports and was a fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  He loved hanging out with his cousins and was an extremely lovable young man.  Michael had a heart of gold; he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His care and concern for others showed what a big heart he had. He was loved by everyone he came in contact with.  He will be missed by his loving family, but we are comforted in knowing that Heaven gained a beautiful angel to watch over his family.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories to his mother, Jane (Pinky) Leftwich and his father, Michael Brown (Terri); two brothers, Marquis Leftwich of Bedford, VA and Derick Robinson (Rachael) of Manassas, VA; two stepsisters, Shavonne and Alexis Pannell, both of Bedford, VA; his grandmothers, Myrtle Leftwich of Bedford, VA and Ernestine Staples (Jerome) of Moneta, VA; ten aunts, Phoebe Hayden (Tim), Jennifer Johnson (Tommy), Junel Leftwich, Kamala Dawson, Mary Ann Bannister (Jay), Patricia, Arlene, Wanda, Mary and Brenda Brown; three uncles, David, Darryl and Jeffrey Brown; and a host of great aunts, great uncles, other loving relatives and dear friends.
