Michael W. Brawley,Sr., age 53, of Bedford, departed this life on Sunday, January 21, 2018. He was born in Bedford, VA on December 2, 1964 to the late Ethel and Harold Goode.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mary Flood Brawley; three children, Michele Flood of Henrico, VA., Megan Flood and Michael Brawley, Jr.; three special grandchildren, Na'Siyah and Malachi Thomas, all of Bedford, VA., and Juliun Thomas of Lynchburg, VA.; three sisters, Teresa Parker, Gloria Garrett and Michele Taylor all of Bedford, VA; two brothers, Harold Goode of Roanoke, VA and Raymond (Sabrina) Goode of Manassas, VA; devoted stepfather, Nathaniel Richie of Bedford, VA; a special brother-in-law, Joseph Flood of Bedford, VA; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 2pm at Western Light Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Friends may view on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 12-8pm in the Bedford Funeral Home Chapel.
