Ms. Melinda Wright Cunningham, 64 of Bedford departed this life on Thursday, January 16, 2025. She was born on November 22, 1960 to the late John F. Wright and Dallie W. Wright. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Mark E. Wright, Karen Wright Ellis and Winston D. Wright.

Melinda was a faithful member of the Church of God. She was a 1979 graduate of Liberty High School, where she was a member of the band and chorus. Melinda was a dedicated employed at Georgia-Pacific Corporation for twenty-six years, and Golden West Foods for several years.

Melinda enjoyed singing and good music. She also enjoyed collecting African artifacts although ironically, she always spoke of taking a cruise to Alaska. Melinda had a big heart, and she adored her children, grandchildren, siblings, etc., so very much.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Samantha Wright (Leon); son Jonathan Cunningham; siblings Pamela Garrett, Douglas (Loretta) Wright, Jennifer Carson, Maxine Wright, Clarissa Wright and Davon Wright. She cherished her grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews; and her devoted friends: Ronnie Fowler, Tim Wolmack, the Johnson and Mosley families and other relatives.
