Martha Ann Clark's Obituary
Martha Ann Clark, age 54, of Bedford went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born on January 21, 1962 to the late George and Frances Whitten. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Burton E. Clark and four grandchildren, Jermaiah, Shamaiah, and Jaliyah Payne and Navaysha Clark.
Martha was a sweet and compassionate person that was loved by everyone that she came in contact with. She loved her family extensively and she affectionately referred to all of her family members as "Hey Cuz". Her fondest days were those she spent with her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all that knew her. She is survived by two loving daughters, Shemicka (Bobby) Payne and Natasha Clark; four grandchildren, Michael Barlow, Jr. and Micah Barlow, Nevaeh Payne and Alexis Payne; her stepmother, Rachel Whitten; two sisters, Sarah and Kim Whitten; four brothers, George, Tyrone, Chad, and John Whitten; two sisters-in-law, Sandra Oakley and Linda (Lee) Wooding; three brothers-in-law, Glenn Clark, Michael (Patsy) Clark and Larry (Brenda) Clark; two goddaughters, Joyce and Kylia Burdette; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2pm on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Promise Land Baptist Church (Moneta, VA.) Interment will follow in Thomas Chapel Cemetery (Huddleston, VA.) Friends may view at the funeral home on Saturday from 3-8pm. Arrangements by Bedford Funeral Home .
