Martha "Vickie" Biglow, age 68, of Bedford, was called to her heavenly home by God on December, 24, 2013. She was born in Buena Vista, VA on February 12, 1945 to the late Dorothy Bell and William "Bill" Richie. Vickie will meet her daughter, Deborah Lynn Richie and her great-grandson, Kayden Jeremiah Hurt along with her parents in Heaven. "Vickie" joined Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Goode, VA and became a faithful member, attending services and Bible study as often as she could. She attended Bedford County schools and even thought she did not graduate, she always pushed for her children to get a good education. She was interested in learning new things and spent time reading to enhance her knowledge. She put family above all else and loved like no one could. She spoiled her granddaughter, Kenara with everything she could, and did her best to spoil her great grandson, Kayden. Now that they are together in Heaven, she will continue to watch over him and spoil him. She was loved by all of her neighbors and community members. She will be missed dearly for her vibrant spirit and outspokenness. She is survived by one daughter, Andrea Trotter, one granddaughter, Kenara Hurt both of Bedford, VA, one brother, Recordo "Teddy" Richie of Lexington, VA. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will carry on her memory.
