Margaret Beatrice Forrest, age 99, departed this life on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Bedford County Nursing Home. She was born on May 16, 1920 to the late Blanche Robinson Drew & James L. Drew. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Dec. Herman Forrest; daughter, Shirley Forrest; son, Thomas Forrest; grandson, Gary Blake.

She joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age, and served as Deaconess. She was also on the Usher Board, a member of the Flower Club, Ladies Auxiliary, Singer & Guitarist for the Chosen Gospel Singers, and later became Mother of the church.

Margaret affectionately known as "Miss Bea"; was a happy and loving person that always had a smile on her face. She loved flowers, gardening, sewing and singing.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Dorothy Arrington and Margaret Blake both of Bedford; three grandchildren, Debbie Forrest of Haveloc, NC, Ricky (Melissa) Blake and Thomas Forrest, Jr. both of Bedford; seven great-grandchildren, twelve great-great-grandchildren, a devoted niece and nephew, Linda & Daniel Nelms of Bedford; goddaughter, Mae Langhorn; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Betty Rhodes of Huddleston; daughter-in-law, Evelyn Swain; devoted caregiver, Cathy Rhodes both of Bedford; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
