Louise Loretta
Hayden
Nov 7, 1934 — Jul 2, 2022
Bedford
Mrs. Louise Loretta Ross Hayden, age 87, transitioned from earth to glory surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 2, 2022. She was born in Bedford, VA on November 7, 1934 to the late John Henry & Nannie Anthony Ross. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Marion L. Hayden; three sisters, Doris Mae Swain, Ellen Ross and Frances Johnson; one brother, Granville Ross and son-in-law, William "Red" Bonds.
Louise was a long-time member of Mount Olivet Baptist Church. She was faithful and dedicated in her worship until her health began to decline. She attended Bible Study regularly and loved to provide her input on Biblical topics. She was a cheerful giver to the church and the community.
She retired from the Elks National Home where she was a dedicated employee for 41 years. Additionally, Louise served at countless events and parties over the years at Bedford Country Club. She was the hope in all of us, the shining light, the path of love, our strength from the start and the very deep beat of our hearts. She will be missed, but we know that she is now resting in Heaven with the Lord.
Those left to cherish her wonderful memories are her loving husband of 72 years, James E. Hayden; three daughters, Fannie Martin (and friend, Winslow) of Charlottesville, VA, Jackie Bonds of Bedford, VA and Eleanor (Robert) Kasey of Greenville, NC; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Jerry Sr.) Thompson of Bedford, VA and James (Monica) Kasey of Fairfield, CA; ten great grandchildren, Jerry Thompson Jr., of Roanoke, Va, Aliyah Kasey of Newport News, VA, James Kasey Jr of Vallejo, CA, Jerica Thompson of Richmond, VA, Nathaniel Kasey of Vallejo, CA, Azara Kasey of Los Angeles, CA, Kaleiah and Elon Kasey both of Benicia, CA, Keela and Christian Kasey both of Fairfield, CA; one great-great granddaughter, Emily Powell of Newport News, VA; one step grandson-in-love, Jayden Babbel-Carrol of Fairfield, CA; one sister-in-law, Maxine Ross; a special cousin, Ruby Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
