Louise M. Carson, age 94, of Bedford, Virginia departed this life on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born June 19, 1917 to the late Harvey and Mary B. Mitchell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her stepmother, Maggie Mitchell, two daughters, Berta Thompson and Gladys Andrews, a son, Leroy Carson, one sister, Gladys Jones, and two brothers, Alfred and Mack Mitchell. Louise was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and lived her life to the fullest. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. She is survived by her children, Helen Harvey, Ruby Carson, Mary Carson, Maxine Carson, Vonda C. Harrison (Maurice), and Griffin Carson (Pat); two sisters, Mary Wright (Harry), and Lucille Woodson; a devoted daughter-in-law, Nancy Carson; a sister-in-law, Louise High; two devoted grandchildren, Nellie and Betty Thompson, a devoted grandson, Adrian Thompson, numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren, and countless other family members and friends, including four special and devoted friends, Annie Lynton, Blanche Spinner, Barbara Hobson, and Cynthia Davis.
