Lois Olivia Ferris' Obituary
Lois Olivia Keene Ferris, age 99, of Bowie, MD formerly of Bedford, passed away on April 28, 2017 at Georgetown Hospital in Washington, DC. She was born on October 21, 1917 to the late Orville and Mattie Keene. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Ferris; son, John Kenneth Ferris and daughter, Shirley Ferris Bailey (Vincent.)
Lois was a long time resident of Bedford. In 2010, she moved to Bowie, MD with her daughter, Deborah; son-in-law, Mark; and grandchildren, Mark, Farrah, Desmond and Briana Pleasants. Immediate family members that she leaves to cherish her memory; daughter, Deborah Ferris Pleasants (Mark), seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 1pm at Washington Street Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Fairmont Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
