Obituary

Lillian Brown Thomas, 71, was born March 25, 1941 and went to be with the Lord early Sunday morning May 27, 2012 after a courageous struggle with Multiple Sclerosis. Lillian passed away peacefully at her home in Bedford, VA. She was born and raised in Big Island and graduated from Susie Gibson High School. She was the only child born to the late Adolph and LaRue Brown and was the beloved wife of the late Henry Thomas for over 40 years. Lillian (Lil) loved watching television, laughing, being with her family and having fun with friends. She made the world's best yeast rolls. She also had a beautiful singing voice. Lillian touched the lives of many people with her smile and cheerfulness, and maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Lil will forever be remembered by her children, Rodney Thomas, Thelma Ragland, Gloria Lindsay, and Reggie Thomas; her beloved grandchildren, Whitney Thomas, Whitney and Tina Ragland, and Joseph and Aliyah Lindsay, along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know her. John 6:39-40 "And this is the will of him who sent me that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day."
