Mr. Leroy Levie Richie, age 92, of Lynchburg, departed this life on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Liberty Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born on March 8, 1927 to the late Chestfield and Martha Otey Richie. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four brothers: Chris, Trent, Billy and Luther Richie.

Leroy, affectionately known as Levie, joined Reed Creek Baptist Church at an early age. Later he attended Temple of Worship Ministry, where he became a Deacon. He enjoyed playing his harp.

Levie is survived by two sisters, Ludie Goode of Lynchburg and Florence Hardy of Roanoke; one brother, Tom Richie of Lynchburg; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Let him sleep on, his sickness is all ended.

His trouble is all gone.

We loss one we loved so much.

While he lie in peaceful sleep,

His memories we will keep.
