Joan Ann Harris, age 70, of Bedford, Virginia passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at 9:45 a.m. at Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born December 16, 1942 in Summit, New Jersey to the late Edward E. and Josephine Davis Penn. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her father who reared her, George Penn, sister, Janet Doreen Davis, and brother, Tyrone Arnold Davis. She was a faithful Saint of Bible Truth Tabernacle until the time of her death. She was just as faithful in her profession as a Nursing Assistant where she worked at Carriage Hill Retirement Center and Bedford County Nursing Home. Joan leaves to cherish fond memories four daughters, Tia Renee Harris of Newark, NJ, Tiffany Harris Wyatt (Lesley) of Richmond, VA, Natoya Doreen Harris, and Dawn Shreese Harris both of Bedford, VA, three grandchildren, Terrance D. and Tianna M. Preston and Tylik R. Wyatt; one sister, Francine Johnson (Marshall), two brothers, Garland Davis (Gail) and Eddie Davis (Betty) all of Bedford, VA, two special uncles, Eddie and Freddie Bryant, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including her loving god daughter, Veronica Robinson.
