Jerald William Lowry age 65, of Bedford, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at his residence. He was born July 4, 1950 to the late James and Nancy Lowry. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother, George Lowry. He leaves to cherish his memory one loving and devoted son, Eric Lowry and fiance' Julie Wooster of Iowa, IL; five brothers, James Lowry, Jr. (Gina) of Raleigh, NC; Vincent Lowry (Tammy) of Columbia, SC; Gary Lowry (LaWanda); Charles Lowry (Kim) and Raymond Bryant; two sisters, Doretha Hurt and LyVern Robertson (George); and a brother-in-law, Nelson Hurt, all of Bedford; two uncles, Alfred Lowry (Ruby) and Henry Jones (Vivian); two aunts Barbara Blake and Dorothy Jones, all of Bedford; his loving and faithful friend, Doris Austin of Lynchburg; a "Special Little Cousin," Jaron Smith of Bedford; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:30am on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Washington Street Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Western Light Baptist Church Cemetery.
