Rev. Jennie Goode Bonds, 75, of Bedford, Virginia departed her life on April 22, 2011 at her residence. She was born October 23, 1935 to the late Ernest and Emma Goode. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Selma Goode and five brothers, Harold, Roger, Calvin, Willie, and Elbryn Goode. At an early age, she joined Poplar Spring Baptist Church and later joined Lawyer's Missionary Baptist Church in Lynchburg, VA. She was ordained as a minister and became the pastor of Freedom Outreach Ministries in Bedford, VA until the time of her passing. Rev. Bonds leaves to cherish her precious memory, husband Willie (Joe) Bonds; five sons, Ernest Spinner, Raymond Spinner, Gerald Spinner, David (Joy) Spinner all of Bedford, VA, Alvin (Ivy) Spinner of Alexandria, VA; two daughters, Minister Emma (George) Hicks of Lynchburg, VA, Shelby (Ron) Bulger of Palm Beach, FL; thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two brothers, Carl (Dorothy) Goode of Bedford, VA, Elmer (Maxine) Goode of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Jean (Bill) Spinner, Big Island, VA, Thelma (Clifford) Rhodes of Huddleston, VA; three sisters-in-law, Betty Goode, Maxine Goode, and Donna Goode, all of Bedford, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.
