Mrs. Janie Elia Martin Nettles, the wife of the late Edward Talley Nettles, has now gone to share his heavenly home. God gave her 99 years of life on earth but now she is where she can live forever.

She was born in Moneta, Virginia on April 22, 1922, the daughter of Luvenia and James Edward Martin. She passed away on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2021. Janie was the eleventh of twelve children, nine girls and three boys, all of whom are deceased.

She is survived by her daughter, Frances Read; two grandchildren, Cynthia Davis (George) and Lee Anthony Williams (Charlene); four great grandchildren, Lawrence and Aliya Davis, Latrell and LaShawn Williams; other relatives and friends.
