James Edward Calloway "J-Dogg", age 29, of Bedford departed this life Sunday, June 10, 2012 at his residence. He was born November 2, 1982 in Bedford, VA. He attended schools in Bedford County. James is in eternal presence with his sister, Katamara, grandmother, Gayle L. Brown, great grandmother, Larvenia, uncles, Kenneth and Raymond, great aunts Katherine, Diane, Vera, and Rosetta; grandfathers, James and Thomas and "Aunt Cotton". There is no doubt a joyful celebration with family and the Lord. We will always love each one of you! James is now in the arms of Jesus - for he would have said: "I am now safe from all harm. For I know the Lord is my refuge from all struggles and harm. For God is my Savior and giver of eternal life and love." As God guided him on his earthly pathways to the path that lead him above. James put his heart in God for trust and comfort; to the one who lies above. For God's love is always faithful, forever, and full of love. James was a rock of strength and courage. He leaves to cherish fond memories, his loving mother, Joyce Calloway Thompson, his stepfather, Charles Thompson; one brother, Demetrius Calloway (Latoya Higgingbotham); his fiancée, Sunchnette M. Murphy; four nephews, Deshawn, Demarleou, Ta'calyen, Savioue; three nieces, Sierra, Lanya, Arman; four uncles, Darryl Calloway (Sharon) of Lynchburg, VA, Dennis Calloway of Lynchburg, VA, James Calloway (Michelle) of Amherst, VA, and Steve Calloway (Sharon) of MD; four great uncles, Danny Calloway (Cathy), Francis "Chip" Calloway, Calvin "Animal" Calloway, and Davey Brown all of Bedford, VA; five great aunts, Jeanette, Kimberly, Tisha, Harriett, Charlene, two close friends who were like brothers, Tay and James Brown; a goddaughter, Tamera Staples of Bedford and a host of other relatives and friends.
