James "Tad" Alexander Wright, age 81, quietly passed into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at his residence in Bedford, VA. He was born on September 17, 1933 to the late Orville Robert Wright, Sr. and Lucy Hughes Wright. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Staples Wright; brother, Orville R. Wright, Jr. and sister, Julia W. Evans. Tad accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age and joined the Lovely Zion Baptist Church. His belief in God was unwavering and he was a faithful child of God. He was soft spoken and at times, a very quiet and reflective man with great insights. He was an avid reader and very knowledgeable about current events and politics. We believe Tad could have been a politician himself because he loved a good debate; usually with family members and friends. He had a tremendous love for his family. He was extremely giving and was always willing to lend a helping hand; a great listener and easy to talk to, he never met a stranger. He retired from Golden West Foods in Bedford as a Production Supervisor where he met many lifelong friends and associates. He leaves to cherish his memories two sisters, Mary Regina Jackson of Bedford, VA and Ruth (Rosella) Scott of Washington, D.C.; one brother, Riley (Brinda) Wright of Bladensburg, MD; six stepchildren, Esther "Que" Creasy, Howard Creasy, Frank Creasy all of Bedford, VA; Darlene Williams of Roanoke, VA; Robert "Robby" (Sue) Creasy and James "Jimmy" (Jennifer) Creasy both of Bedford, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, relatives and friends. Tad shared a favorite prayer with his late sister Julia, and it poignantly states: "God grant me the Serenity To accept the things I cannot change, The courage to change the things I can, And the wisdom to know The Difference."
