In the awakening of a new day on February 12, 2014, an angel was dispatched from Heaven to carry our loved one, Hester Marie Robertson, age 83, home to be with the Lord. Marie was born July 2, 1930 to the late Thomas Ross and Ruth Sharpe Burrell. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Albert Robertson. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Bonnette Pullen. She professed her belief in Christ at an early age and became a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Peaksville. Marie is survived by two sons, Marcus Robertson and Albert Michael (Evelyn) Robertson of Bedford, VA, one daughter, Carolyn Anderson of Lynchburg, VA; seven grandchildren, Ashley Redfearn, Brian Robertson, Bonnie McCain, Marcus Day, Barry, Michael, and Heath Anderson; fifteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She was also survived by two brothers, Charles and Jimmy Burrell; two sisters, Christine and Odessa Jones; one half sister, Barbara Hobson and one half brother, Charles Mallory; four sisters-in-law, Rosa Carson, Myrtle Leftwich, Polly Johnson and Bernice Blake; one brother-in-law, Richard "Dick" Robertson, an extended son, Reggie Thomas, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
