Henry David Jordan, Sr.'s Obituary
Henry David Jordan, Sr., age 71 of Salem, VA departed this life suddenly on Sunday, July 16, 2017. He was born March 26, 1946 to the late Earl V. Jordan and Mary W. Jordan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Melvin, Peter and Paul Jordan, and sisters, Betty Twine and Diane Little.
He retired after many years of service from N&W Railroad. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Joyce Cooper Jordan of Roanoke, VA; sons, Henry D. (Pha'ris) Jordan, Jr. and Hosea D. Jordan; daughters, Bridget (Sean) Easley and Tamekia (Chris) Horace, all of Roanoke, VA; grandchildren, Ne'Chelle, Najae and Nikyra Jordan, Maquisha, Cierra, and Sean Easley, Jr., Tre'von and Tiana Horace; great grandchildren, Keona, Naszir and Tajae Easley; brothers, Rev. Bobby (Loretha) Jordan, Ronnie (Brenda) Jordan, Michael (Vivian) Jordan, Rev. Alphonso (Lillian) Jordan, Bernard (Thresha) Jordan, and Leonard (Debra) Jordan; sisters, Carolyn (Harry) Smith, Gwendolyn Jordan, Sharon Suso and Pamela Jordan; brothers-in-law, Billy Cooper, Wayne Cooper, and Ronnie (Stephanie) Cooper; sisters-in-law, Linda (Gus) Vaughn, Sheliah (Jerry) Callands, Evelyn (Michael) Robertson, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 7149 Thirlane Rd. NW, Roanoke, VA with Rev. Bobby Jordan, Eulogist. Interment will follow at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens, Roanoke. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
