Ms. Harriet M. Brown, age 59 of Bedford, unexpectedly received her wings on Friday, April 12, 2024. She was born on February 24, 1965 to the late Otha and Larvenia Brown in Bedford, VA where she lived her whole life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters Vera, Rosetta, Diane, Katherine, and Gayle; four brothers Kenneth, Raymond, Calvin and James "JDogg"; and her niece Brenda "Cotton".

Harriet graduated from Liberty High School in 1984. She was employed at Longwood Industries for many years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. Harriet was a woman full of laughter with a great sense of humor and she leaves us with wonderful memories of how she loved to dance when she was hyped up. One of her favorite hobbies was collecting Angels. She also enjoyed watching movies, shopping and spending time with family.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memories her only daughter Charlene Brown; two grandsons Da'Monte Ragsdale and Leon Brown; one sister Lorraine Calloway; three brothers Davey Brown, Francis "Chip" Calloway and Danny "Lee" Calloway (who survived her briefly). She was also survived by her best friends: Bobby Jean Jones and Abbey Rice; A host of other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Harriet will be truly missed by everyone!
