Grayson Eziekiel Louis Coates, age 2, of Bedford, departed this life on Sunday, March 10, 2019. Grayson, also known as "Gracy Pooh", was born on February 28, 2017 to Jeremiah Coates and Taylor Jefferson.

Grayson was a special blessing to our family. He had a smile that would light up any room. His favorite toy was anything related to "Paw Patrol." He also loved toys that had lights and made lots of noise. He had a recliner similar to his PaPa's that he enjoyed sitting in. Grayson's face would light up when his PaPa and NaNa walked into the room or when he heard their voices.

In his short life, he traveled to Myrtle Beach, Tennessee, and Hampton and he also took trips in the RV. We will miss him, but we will always remember him when we take future trips. Grayson looked forward to and enjoyed his phone conversations with Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Freddie.

In addition to his parents, Grayson is also survived by his grandparents, Timothy and Phoebe Hayden, James and Sheila Coates; devoted great-grandmother, Myrtle Leftwich; uncles, Phillip Jefferson (Unique), Theodore Jefferson (Pam), Justin Hayden, Jonathan Hayden and James Coates, Jr.; "auntie", Tia Jefferson; aunts, Domonique Lynch (TJ) and Jeanette Crews (Daniel); godparents, Thomas Johnson (Janeka); other relatives and friends.
