Obituary

Georgia Lee Bryant, age 89, of Bedford, Va. went to be with the Lord on the morning of February 8, 2020. She was born on August 29, 1930, to the late Clint and Mattie Blake. She is also proceeded in death by her husband Curtis Bryant Sr., all four of her sisters Hazel Wright, Mary Calloway, Arlene Blake, and Irene Brown; and her in-laws Joseph and Lillie Bryant.

It was no secret that Georgia was a dedicated Christian. She was a faithful member of the Western Light Baptist Church, where you could always find her seated in the side aisle, the third row from the back with her legendary candy bag full of SweetMints. She was also known as a hard worker who retired from Rubatex Corporation after 25 years of devoted service. Georgia left a lasting impression on everyone she met, treating no one any different from her own family. No one was immune to the sassy or brutally honest remarks of Mrs. Georgia Lee, but we all know that every joke, every scolding, and every sharp (but sweet) comment was all out of love. Just like her big personality, her heart was even bigger. She will be deeply missed.

She leaves behind her four children Jeanette Martin (Roger), Curtis Bryant Jr., Renee Bryant-Jones, and Donnell Bryant; six grandchildren, Vicky Johnson, Gary Johnson, Roger Martin Jr, Felicia Baker (Jamel), Darwin Bryant, and Rickki Lea Jones; four cherished in-laws and their spouses; and a host of cherished great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
