Gary Eugene Blake departed this life suddenly on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Franklin County Memorial Hospital.  He was born on November 8, 1970 in Bedford County, Virginia to Margaret F. Blake and Kenneth Blake.

He was educated in the Bedford County School Systems.  He joined Mount Zion Baptist Church at an early age.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Mary Bond Blake; two sons, Gary E. Eggleston (Brittany) of Moneta, VA and Christopher Bond of Wirtz, VA; three daughters, Allison Jones (Lloyd) of Huddleston, VA, Shannon (Timothy) and Jasmine Blake (Deandre) of Roanoke, VA; ten grandchildren; his parents, Kenneth and Margaret Blake; two brothers, Ricky Blake of Bedford, VA and Quannie Blake of Moneta, VA; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Beatrice Forrest and paternal grandmother, Ruby Blake, both of Bedford, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 1pm in the Bedford Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may view on Friday from 1-7pm in the Bedford Funeral Home Chapel.
