Mr. Fred Marvin Bond, Jr. age 70 of Bedford, VA, departed this life on September 16, 2022. Fred was born on June 2, 1952 in Bedford Virginia to the late Fred Bond and Pauline Grace Bond.
Fred graduated from Liberty High School and attended Ferrum College and Central Virginia Community College, postgraduate. He recently retired after a long career with Smyth Companies and was employed at Carilion Bedford Memorial Hospital.
Fred was a devoted member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and played guitar during worship service. From an early age, he developed a passion for music and played one of his many guitars and piano, daily. He was also a car enthusiast, with a deep love for his 1957 Chevy, Monte Carlo, Camaros, Silverado and Cadillac ATS. So many lives have been touched by his generous heart, warm smile and contagious laugh.
Those left to cherish his beautiful memories are his sister, Wanda (Golden) Skipper of Richmond VA; brothers, Dr. William (Cheryl) Bond of Suffolk, VA and Tony (Tammie) Bond of Midlothian VA; aunt, Gracie Webb of Long Island, NY; eleven nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews, along with loving family members and friends.
