Frank Henry
Lewis, Sr.
May 11, 1941 — Jul 5, 2021
Bedford
Mr. Frank Henry Lewis, Sr., 80, slipped into eternal peace on Monday, July 5, 2021, at his home in Bedford County, VA.
Frank Lewis was born on May 11, 1941, to the late Crockett Lewis and the late Mary Hopkins Lewis Gross. He was married to his beloved wife, Linda, affectionately called "Lee" for over 55 years. The incarnation of dedication and work ethic, he carried out an exceptional forty-nine-year career with Golden West Foods without missing a single scheduled day of work. He was awarded multiple times for outstanding performance above and beyond his duties, warehouse person of the month, and warehouse person of the year throughout his tenure. Frank dedicated his life to Christ early in life and was a life-long faithful member of Oakmulgee Baptist Church, where he honorably served as a trustee and treasurer. Frank was a good, respectable man, loved his family, and was reliable and virtuous in his morals and values; he believed in the Golden Rule: treating others as one wants to be treated.
In addition to his parents, Frank is preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth Lewis, Elbert Lewis, and Robert Lewis.
He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his devoted wife, Linda Lewis; two sisters, Mattie Saunders of Joliette, IL and Ruth Singleton of Bedford, VA; and one brother, James Gross of Bedford, VA; two brothers-in-law James (Hilda) Bryant of Forest, VA and Percell (Mary) Bryant of Forest, VA; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Dudley of Goode, VA; four children, Sherry Bryant of Bedford, VA, Audrey (Jody) Jordan of Lynchburg, VA, Frank Lewis Jr of Bedford, VA and Jeffrey Lewis of Bedford, VA; five grandchildren, Charmaine (Cornelious) Richardson, of Brunswick, GA, Quandre Lewis, Aisha Bryant, Trayvon Lewis, and DaShawn Bryant, all of Bedford, VA; two great-grandchildren, Chloe and Neil Richardson of Brunswick, GA; and an abundance of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
