ELBRYN "PETE" GOODE, 64, of Bedford, VA departed this life on March 10, 2011 at Bedford Memorial Hospital. He was born March 15, 1946 to the late Ernest and Emma Goode. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one sister, Selma Goode and four brothers, Calvin, Roger, Willie and Harold Goode. Pete joined the Poplar Spring Baptist Church at a very early age and later became a very faithful member. He loved his Pastor, Rev. Herman Robertson and loved to videotape all the services that he could. He was very proud of the days that he and his brother Carl had working in the logging business. He loved his family and will be greatly missed. He leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving and devoted wife of 25 special years, Carol Maxine Goode; four sons, Ramon (Cynthia) Goode of Indiana, Ray Goode and Terry Goode of Lynchburg, VA, Steven (Kristina) Goode of Georgia, one daughter, Larysse (Marcus) Carey; one stepson, Tyrone (Michele) Claytor of Greeneville, SC; 13 grandchildren; three sisters, Rev. Jennie (Joe) Bonds, Jean (Bill) Spinner, Thelma (Clifford) Rhodes all of Bedford, VA; two brothers, Carl (Dorothy) Goode of Bedford, VA and Elmer (Maxine) Goode of Charlotte, NC; four sisters-in-law, Mrs. Betty Ann Goode and Donna Goode, both of Bedford, VA, Brenda Hayworth of Lynchburg, VA, and Diane (Melvin) Wright of Bedford, VA; a very devoted step mother-in-law, Mrs. Ruby Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends, including three devoted friends, James Hamlett, Larry Garrett and Sylvester Ferguson.
