Elaine F. Pollard, age 88 of Altavista departed this life on Saturday, May 9, 2020. She was born on August 5, 1931 to the late Herman and Gertrude Fox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Pollard; daughter, Charlotte Brown; son, William Pollard; brother, Moses Fox and sister, Rebecca Jackson.

Elaine attended Mt. Plain Baptist Church and School. She was employed at Lane Company for thirty-eight years.

Elaine enjoyed cooking, going shopping and spending time with her family.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her daughter, Patricia Pollard Hamlett (husband, James); fourteen grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

**The friends of the family may view on Friday, May 15, 2020 from 2-6pm in the Bedford Funeral Home Chapel.

The service for Mrs. Pollard will be private.
