Mrs. Doris Lee Courtney, 81 of Lynchburg, peacefully passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Heartland Health Care Center. She was born August 21, 1939 in Forest, VA to the late William and Mattie Harris. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Winford Harris, Freddie Harris and Lewis Harris.

Doris joined Oak Grove Baptist Church in Forest. She moved to Washington, D.C. at an early age. Doris was married to the late Franklin Courtney.

Those left to cherish her memory are: three brothers, Charles (Peggy) Harris, Dennis Harris and Roger Harris of Lynchburg, VA; one sister, Mary Martin of Sterling, VA; a devoted cousin, Carol Harris; loving nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
