Affectionately known as "DJ", was born December 9, 1978, to Evelina "Cookie" Simmons Nellum and Jeffrey Jones in Manhattan, New York. He is preceded in death by this mother Evelina Simmons Nellum; Brother Demetrius Jones; and Grandparents James and Hallie Mae Jones.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving companion Dalerie Brown; son Keion Brown; Father Jeffrey T. Jones (Khloud) of Bedford, VA; Brother Jamison R. Jones of Bedford, VA; Sister Tiffany M. Jones (John) of Petersburg, VA; Brother Charles A. Jones of Bedford, VA; Half Brothers Bruce Starks, Eric Wade, Brian & Terell Nellum; three Aunts Nina Jones of Madison Heights, VA, Mona Starks of Bedford, VA, and Sheila Benning of Dayton, OH; four Uncles: Steven Jones (Tracy) of Richmond, VA, Richard Jones (Lorita Renee) of Rapdian, VA, Rodney Jones (Denitra) of Virginia Beach, VA and Chaunce Jones (Tonya) of Bedford.
