Dea. Reginald Ray Davis, Sr.'s Obituary
Reginald Ray Davis, Sr. (affectionately known as Buddy), age 87, of 117 Marvin Place Lynchburg, VA, departed this life on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born March 2, 1931 to the late Horace and Lillian Davis.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Ethel Davis; daughter, Sheila Jackson; son, Andre Davis; and two brothers, Horace Davis, Jr. and John Davis.
Ray leaves to mourn his passing: his son, Reginald Ray Davis, Jr. (Donna) of Forest VA; 2 sisters, Shirley Arrington of Englewood, NJ and Elaine Snead of Patterson, NJ; five granddaughters, Ashley Jackson Brown (Ernest) of Virginia Beach, VA, Artea Davis of Somerset, NJ, Deidra Davis of Orlando, FL, Rana Davis of Woodbridge, NJ, and Alexis Davis of Lithonia, GA; two grandsons , Andre Braxton of Sterling, VA and Trevon Witherspoon of Detroit,MI ; great-granddaughter, Brittney Bridges of Somerset, NJ and a daughter-in-law, Dietra Davis of Sterling, VA; a host of other nieces, relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Holcomb Rock Baptist Church with Reverend David S. Stewart officiating. Internment will follow in the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church. Friends may call the funeral home on Friday from 1-7pm for viewing.
