Obituary

Dea. Bannat Coles, age 89, of Bedford departed this life on March 7, 2018 at Centra Bedford Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Elizabeth Coles and his loving wife, Mary Hazel Coles.
He leaves to cherish his memories; five daughters, Mary (Tyrone) Noell of Bedford, VA., Deborah Donnigan of Lynchburg, VA, Shirley (Clarence Jr.) Meadows of Forest, VA., Kathy (William) Davis of Hurt, VA., Joy (David) Spinner of Bedford, VA., one son, Chester Bannat (Helen) Coles of Bedford, VA. Six grandchildren, Steven (Ketisha) Donnigan, Michael (Dorothy) Donnigan, Natasha Spinner, all of Lynchburg, VA., Jennifer Meadows of Forest, VA., Jazmyn and Erika Davis of Hurt, VA. One brother-in-law, Arsbon Johnson of Bedford, VA., two sister in laws, Olethia (Charlie Quarles) of Bedford, VA, Elaine (Earnest Merritt) of Odenton, MD, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 11am at Antioch Baptist Church (Peaksville Community-Bedford.) Interment will follow in Fairmont Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 3-6pm in the Bedford Funeral Home Chapel. The family will also receive friends daily from 1-7pm at the Coles residence (7480 Wheats Valley Rd. Bedford, VA 24523.) Arrangements by Bedford Funeral Home.
